Sister Willie Virginia “Bee” Ray, born June 22, 1923 in Collumburg, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL. She exchanged this life for eternity in Heaven with Christ on November 9, 2012. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved to cook, read her bible, sing hymnals, and travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elarus F. Ray, parents John and Lola Holcombe, brothers Elmer, Ulysses, and Willard Holcombe, and sister Christine Demming. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was a faithful member of Nazaree Baptist Church, Number 1. She later united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (Crichton), Pastor W.E. Jones, and served as a dedicated Choir and Missionary Society member until her health failed. She was blessed with a very loving, uplifting, and giving spirit which she shared with all who loved and knew her.
